Motorcycle & Bike Parking

Park Cedar Rapids has several options available for Motorcycle and Bicycle parking.

  • Bicycle Parking: The Cedar Rapids Downtown District recently installed several bicycle racks throughout the downtown area that are all free for public use. There are additional bike racks located inside 3rd Avenue parking ramp, directly in front of the cashier’s booth. Bike parking in the 3rd Avenue ramp is especially secure because of the close proximity to the staffed cashier booth.

  • Motorcycle Parking: Motorcycles can utilize any on-street vehicle space in downtown. Any metered spaces will require payment at the rate designated for the area. Additional motorcycle parking spaces have been created on-street, along 1st Street SE, and in the 3rd Avenue, 4th Avenue, Five Seasons and Ground Transportation Center (GTC) parking ramps. A map of those facilities can be found here.

Construction Zone Parking

Downtown Cedar Rapids is currently undergoing several redevelopment and revitalization projects. If you have a question or concern about a particular area of downtown that is impacted by construction parking, please contact the Park Cedar Rapids office at 319-365-7275. Park Cedar Rapids staff are also available to assist contractors with meter hooding requests during normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Meter Hooding

Meter Hoods allow for the short term reservation of on-street space to accommodate special events, contractors or others working in the vicinity.  When reserved or “hooded,” individual spaces will be clearly marked with red meter hoods indicting "No Parking" or "Reserved Parking." Hooded meters are enforced 24/7.

Transportation Services

Transportation options throughout Cedar Rapids provide residents and patrons a variety of means to discover all sectors of our community in a convenient, affordable manner.

Meter Placards

Downtown Cedar Rapids experiences many exciting events throughout the year. Sometimes these events require specific "No Parking" regulations be enforced. Individual meters will be attached with poster size placards indicating specific time requirements. Placards are in place at minimum 24 hours in advance of the event. It is imperative that the time requirement be observed. Failure to observe posted signs can result in towing at the owner’s expense.
